Tourists flocked to New Zealand to visit the locations they saw in Lord of the Rings.
And the kiwis are hoping to see a rerun of this excitement with the eagerly awaited release of The Hobbit.
In an interview with DialAFlight TV tourist chief Danielle Genty-Nott gives an update on the launch of this new highly anticipated trilogy with its all star line up including Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Evangeline Lilly, Christopher Lee and Billy Connolly.
She also offers an update on the rebuilding work in Christchurch, the country’s new end to end cycleways and also reveals her own favourite places off the beaten track to stop off for fresh seafood.
DialAFlight said: ‘The country may be small but it has a huge amount to offer holidaymakers; beautiful beaches, hot springs, spectacular mountains, fantastic vineyards, walking trails, whales, wildlife and the new cycle ways which have opened up.”
